Louise and biker Jason tie the knot at The Wroxeter Hotel, Shropshire.
The Wroxeter Hotel was a new venue for me so I was eager to check it out when I got the call from Louise and Jason to photograph their wedding bash.
The hotel is a fabulous and flexible venue offering the luxuries and conveniences of a modern country hotel along with a number of popular wedding options and styles to meet every taste.
My day started with Louise’s bridal preparation and it was a real pleasure to work with Louise and her closest family members. They soon got used to having me around in this private and often emotional time – it didn’t take long before I was capturing some beautiful moments shared between the family members.
I then moved on to the arrival of the guests and groom in the hotel bar. This was my chance to work with the crowd and simply get them used to me being around – an important milestone to cross on the wedding day in my opinion.
The ceremony was held in the Wroxeter Hotel’s large conservatory which provided a bright and airy space for the wedding party and resulting photos. Jason, the groom, is a lovely chap and it wasn’t long before we gelled. As he waited nervously I ducked out to meet Louise leaving her bridal suite and I managed to fire off a few photos that I feel capture those nervous moments before the ceremony.
With the ceremony done the happy couple mingled with guests and it wasn’t long before the disco was cranked up and everyone partied long into the night.
A great day and a lovely couple. R.
